Alhamdolillah, Masjid’s security system installed and fully functional

Our Masjid’s security system has finally been installed and fully functional.

Please join me in thanking Br. Hamid, Br. Ali and Br. Mohammad for their dedication and taking time of from their busy schedule over the span of about two months. They often worked outside at below freezing temperature and some of us catching cold. I would also like to thank Br. Kareem, Br. Ahsen and Br. Asim for joining us on occasions to help. This volunteer work saved masjid around $3,000. We also thank and pray for those who provided financial support for this project. May Allah (SWT) increase their Hasanats.

This is an example when community member get together and accomplishing a task like this.

InshaAllah there will be other projects where community member can participate and benefit JCMC community and earn hasanats.

We the Jefferson City Muslim Community would like to extend our heart full thanks to Dr. Shahid and Sr. Talat Zehra for their cordial invitation to Dinner to Jefferson City Muslim Community this Saturday.
This was a beautiful gesture on their part to bring the community together and we thank them for that and pray to Allah (SWT) to reward them by increasing their Hasanats.

Fundraising for the masjid

AssalamAlaikum Brs. and Srs.,

With regards to what happened to the Joplin Masjid, we have identified two areas that need to be addresses as immediately.

1. Install a security camera system

2. Fire proof our Masjid. Alhamdulillah we have brick walls on three sides of Masjid except in the back. We would need to complete the back side making all four sides brick.

We have obtained estimates for two projects. The total is about $12,000. The details of these estimates have been sent to the mailing list (if you are not in please send email to contact@jcmc.org).

It is time for all of us to contribute to accomplish the goal of securing our beautiful Masjid.

Also reminding brothers and sisters that this would be Sadaqa-a-Jariya (Allah (SWT) would continue rewarding even after the death of donor). It would be an excellent opportunity if we want our deceased loved ones to earn rewards. It is very important to complete this project as soon as possible to secure our Masjid.

Eid-Ul-Adha Program

InshaAllah we will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on Friday October 26.

Eid prayer would be at 8:30 sharp (please remember early is on time and on time is late).

Per our tradition, immediately after Eid prayer we will enjoy breakfast and socialize with community members. Everybody is encouraged to bring a breakfast snack to share.

Later by 6pm we will have our Eid dinner.

We would like to have a team of 2 families each to be host for the breakfast and for Dinner. Please volunteer? The responsibility of the host would be to prepare tea and set up tables and later do the clean up.

InshaAllah, we all will take turn so that we don’t burden few.

We also need to make sure to get the most of these very sacred days of DulHajja.

May Allah (SWT) accept.
